Students & Parents: Forms + Sites + Info
At Gus Wetter School, our Makerspace is a place where students can gather, to create, invent, tinker, explore and discover, using a variety of tools and materials.
Dash & Dot, our classroom robots, https://www.makewonder.com/ are a part of the Makerspace movement in Education whereby students, in our school, in grades Kindergarten to Grade 6, learn about computer programming in very exciting and engaging ways. These robots will be used in our club along with Osmo https://www.playosmo.com/en-ca/ inviting the students to collaborate creatively.
We are thrilled to be able to offer a Makerspace Club for students that runs on Mondays after school until 4:30 p.m. It is open to students in grades 1-6. You can follow the web calendar http://guswetter.clearview.ab.ca/Calendar.php to keep up to date with the schedule.
Note: The students attending will leave class at the end of the day as if they are headed for home, join Mrs. Schaffner in the Learning Commons, and begin Internet Coding and Programming. They will not be allowed back into their classrooms so they must have everything with them.
